The USA sim card will automatically activate based on the arrival date provided at the time of purchase. Your 30 day plan will begin from the arrival date you provide. Should you wish to change this date after your purchase, please contact us at least 3 days prior to your noted arrival date, so we can change the commencement date of your 30 day service. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to do this.
How do I find out my USA phone number?
You will be assigned a USA based phone number. Your local USA phone number is only generated once your USA sim card has been activated, which is when your 30 day service commences. Upon arriving in USA, Canada or Mexico and after inserting the sim card in your mobile phone, you will automatically receive a text message from T-Mobile noting your local USA phone number.Can I get my phone number earlier?
When a sim is activated we are able to retrieve the phone number from the system. As an option, if you are travelling for less than 30 days you can look at providing an earlier arrival date when purchasing the sim card, again bearing in mind that your 30 days will begin from that point. You can then e-mail us on the day of the arrival date you provided requesting your phone number which we can then forward to you. You will still receive the text message with your phone number when you land in USA, Canada or Mexico.

**Please note: This section only refers to phone compatibility in USA. If you are only travelling to Canada and/or Mexico please disregard this section**
**Please note: Due to T-mobile tower upgrades any Apple iPhone older than the iPhone 6, any Samsung S Model older than the S6, any other android phones and/or mid-tier/budget smartphones may be restricted to 2G speeds only.**

International Calling and Texting
We recommend that you use data based apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, Skype, etc to make international phone calls and texts rather than adding the $15 International Talk and text feature.
Alternatively, you have the option to add the $15 International Talk and Text Feature during purchase of Prepaid Sim Card USA which will give you Unlimited calls to Standard Landlines to Australia, New Zealand and other landlines in select countries (Premium numbers not included) and unlimited texting back to Australia, NZ and 200 other countries.
You will need to add credit on top of this $15 International feature if you want to call an International Mobile that has a per minute rate and is not Unlimited. Calls to Australian mobiles are 7 cents per minute, or calls to NZ Mobiles 8 cents per minute, however mobile calls to select countries such as UK Mobiles are unlimited.
You can search the countries and rates via the link HERE. If you just add credit without adding this $15 international talk feature, then you will be charged at the pay as you go rates which are very expensive. These rates can also be viewed with the previous link.

When the T-Mobile coverage map states that the coverage is by a partner network in the USA, this means that you will only be able to make local calls and send local text. You will not be able to use your data and international calling in these areas. For example, T-Mobile only has a partner network when in Alaska, so you will only be limited to local calls and text within USA. This is only for coverage in the USA and does not apply to partner networks in Canada and Mexico.

If you are travelling with another person it is important to have the ability to contact one another at any time especially in an emergency. We highly advise that you both purchase a sim card so you can keep in touch.
International SIM cards require your phone to be unlocked, if you are unsure please contact your service provider for more details.

T-Mobile is one of the largest telecommunication service providers in the United States of America (USA).
These Travel sim cards for travellers are prepaid and come with set features. So there are no hidden fees or roaming costs and as such you can never be charged anything extra than what you pay at the checkout.
How to Recharge?
The USA SIM Card plan will last 30 Days from activation. If you are staying longer than 30 days and wish to recharge the sim you can do this by either going into a T-Mobile store or calling T-Mobile customer service 611 from your mobile handset.
Alternatively, as another option if you are travelling for longer than 30 days, you can purchase additional sim cards based on the duration of your travels. If you are travelling for 60 days you can purchase 2 separate sim cards, and then swap them over at the end of each 30 day period (however, each sim card will have a different phone number). You will need to put the arrival date for the second sim card approximately 30 days after the original activation date. For example, if you are travelling from 1 March to 30 April, you will purchase 2 sim cards and have the arrival date for the first sim card noted as 1 March and the arrival date for the second sim card noted as 1 April.
