How to Activate this Hong Kong Sim Card?
To activate this Hong Kong sim card all you need to do is insert the sim into your phone and turn your phone on. The sim will then automatically connect to the network, which will commence your 10 day plan.
How do I find out my phone number?
You will automatically receive a text message noting your local Hong Kong phone number once you have made your first phone call.
Calling and Texting
As noted above, the sim card comes with 100 Free local minutes for calls within Hong Kong. In order to make international phone calls you will need to add credit to the sim card. You can only add credit whilst you are in Hong Kong, at Three (HK) stores, supermarkets, petrol stations and convenience stores.For calling rates click here
However, we recommend that you use data based apps such as Whatsapp, Viber, Skype, Messenger, etc to make phone calls. You are also able to add credit to your Viber or Sykpe account, which will allow you to make Local and International phone calls directly to landlines and mobiles.
If you are travelling with another person it is important to have the ability to contact one another at any time especially in an emergency. We highly advise that you both purchase a sim card so you can keep in touch.
International SIM cards require your device to be unlocked, if you are unsure, please contact your service provider for more details.
